Emergent Energy Solutions - LED Lighting Industrial Food Production
Industrial Food Production

Industrial food manufacturing facilities have high energy intensity process and infrastructure loads. These facilities operate on a multi-shift 24 x 5 day operation, therefore investments in LED Lighting upgrades deliver strong savings from the high light levels and the long operating hours.

Emergent Energy Solutions - LED Lighting Wineries
Napa Valley Wineries

The Napa Valley region of California started its journey to produce some of the best wines in the world in the mid 1960's. Through many years of consolidation from acquisitions, small family wineries are consolidated into industrial scale operations.

Emergent Energy Solutions - LED Lighting Commercial Retail
Commercial Retail

Lighting within a commercial space is critical as the environment can have a significant impact on the space's ability to portray the products on display. Our retail space customers have very specific requirements for light levels, color temperature, and proper spread throughout the service area.

Emergent Energy Solutions - LED Lighting Warehouses
Warehouses

Warehouse LED lighting upgrades appear to be straightforward, but these installations can also be quite challenging depending on the existing installation and future state lumens requirements.

The typical warehouse within a manufacturing environment has lighting systems that were installed prior to racks being installed. This causes misalignment of the lighting needs with rack locations. Our projects aim to relocate the existing power feeds and increase light levels by 2 - 3X to increase fork truck safety and reduce energy costs.

Sub-Metering
Emergent Energy Solutions - Metering Industrial Coffee Production
Industrial Coffee Production

Energy metering within industrial manufacturing spaces provide a significant opportunity as process specific loads can be significant as they seek to understand their process energy requirements and utilize energy data to understand equipment up-time and downtime.

Energy allocation by production line SKU, or shift is now possible through our metering solutions.

Emergent Energy Solutions - Metering WIneries
Napa Valley Wineries

The Napa Valley region is known for beautiful weather, scenic and flowing vineyards, as well as some of the highest energy costs in the country. Energy monitoring to better understand process and infrastructure systems help to size back-up generation, manage refrigeration and compressed air systems and properly schedule operations to reduce peak load charges while ensuring energy resiliency.

Emergent Energy Solutions - Metering - Refrigerated Food Production
Refrigerated Food Production

Refrigerated manufacturing facilities offer tremendous opportunity for energy savings. Since refrigerated facilities require year round cooling, all consumed electrical load within the refrigerated space converts to heat and has to be removed from the space through mechanical cooling.

A simple lighting, pump management, conveyor sequencing project can contribute to significant energy savings and reductions in refrigeration loads.

Emergent Energy Solutions - Metering Tenant Billing
Tenant Billing

Landlords can now use the metering data delivered through our metering solutions to properly charge their tenants for their portion of energy use.

Establishing an energy cost / sqft is no longer effective as energy and cooling loads can be significantly different from one tenant to another. Implementing proper electric, gas, btu metering can help to effectively segregate energy consumption. Through the use of our tenant billing solution, building owners can now ensure they achieve proper cost recovery while fairly allocating overhead, and depreciation costs based on energy consumed.

Compressed Air & Nitrogen
Emergent Energy Solutions - Compressed Air Upgrades
Compressed Air with Incentives

Compressed Air is an essential energy resource. Its high energy density, and ease of dissipation makes it an ideal energy resource for actuators that require a fast while forceful response.

Due to the high energy density, the energy needed to generate compressed air can be significant. This is why proper management of all 3 (supply, distribution, demand) elements of a compressed air system are essential for efficient, and reliable operation.

Emergent Energy Solutions - Nitrogen Generation
Onsite Nitrogen Production

Nitrogen has been used as a food preservative because of its inert properties. The primary use within the food industry is its ability to be abundant and easily displaces air, therefore reducing the rate of oxidation in every day foods like potato chips, coffee, salads and wine.

EES can assist our customers with turnkey nitrogen generation systems that will offset the cost of bulk nitrogen, reducing nitrogen costs by over 90%.

Emergent Energy Solutions - The Value of Automation
The Value of Integration

Integration of onsite compressed air and nitrogen generation equipment into a single platform allows for ease of automation.

Emergent Energy Solutions - Compressed Air Supply and Demand Balancing
Balancing Supply & Demand

Oversized or improperly sized compressors to meet demand contributes to significant waste within compressed air systems.

No one wants to have a shortage of compressed air capacity but a system can be oversized or improperly sized to meet varying site demand for air. This is especially true on seasonal or multi-shift manufacturing facilities that only operates 5 days a week.

These changes in air demand puts incredible stress on the compressed air system, but with proper sequencing and capacity sizing, this can be easily addressed.

PJM Energy Efficiency (EE)
Emergent Energy Solutions - PJM Energy Credits LED Lighting
LED Lighting Systems

PJM's Energy Efficiency program provide incentives for a variety of projects that achieve permanent load reduction. LED lighting is one of the simplest project categories  to qualify because of the simple M&V process associated with lighting systems.

The average incentive from PJM's program will be about 25% of the utility specific incentives. There are some specific utilities that capture the PJM credits when a utility rebate application is filed. To learn more about the program, please visit pjmenergycredits.com.

Emergent Energy Solutions - PJM Energy Credits New Construction & Major Renovation
New Construction & Major Renovation

New Construction facilities that are designed to operate at an efficiency level greater than the states adopted ASHRAE standards will qualify for PJM EE incentives. The typical systems that qualify includes general lighting and HVAC systems.

Emergent Energy Solutions - PJM Energy Credits Compressed Air & Refrigeration
Compressed Air & Refrigeration Systems

Compressed Air systems that qualify for utility rebates through the custom application process will have the necessary M&V data needed to qualify for the PJM EE program. The permanent load (KW) reduction values will be determined by the facility's pre-project and subsequent post-project measurements. The efficiency improvements have to be documented as actual efficiency improvements through either proper sequencing, sizing, or net unit of product produced improvements.

Emergent Energy Solutions - OEM & Midstream Program
OEM Equipment Sales

Direct distributor or e-commerce sale of LED lighting products to residential, commercial and industrial customers will also qualify for PJM EE incentives. To qualify the KW value to PJM, we will need details relating to where the products were sold / shipped to, product specifications and classification of whether the customer is a resident or a C&I customer.
